We are proud to announce that Cheshire Beauty Academy has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence by The Complementary Medical Association (The CMA). This means that we are proud to say that we hold full Training School Membership of The Complementary Medical Association. This Membership is highly prestigious, and it demonstrates our commitment to the very highest standards of excellence in training courses - and our dedication to supporting you, as our Student.
The Complementary Medical Association is the world’s largest and most highly respected professional membership association. The organisation has been established for over 25 years and they work closely with conventional medicine by sharing research and education to doctors about the natural healthcare field and why they should incorporate complementary medicine (as provided by qualified CMA Members) into their practices.
Furthermore, The CMA consistently liaises at governmental level to ensure your rights to practice. Over the last 25 years, The CMA has taken complementary medicine and natural healthcare from a cottage industry to the professional force that it is today. This ensures that the public has access to a Professional Register of elite practitioners and outstanding training schools and that doctors and other healthcare professionals know that they can safely refer their patients to CMA Registered Practitioners.
Our Team Members
My name is Melanie I am the founding member and owner of Cheshire Beauty Academy. I started as a hairdresser at the age of 15, then went on to complete Level Two & Three Beauty Therapy as well as Holistic Therapies, I have worked within the industry for over 30 years now.
After a couple of years working in the industry I decided I wanted to become a teacher and so I spent two years completing my Post Graduate Certificate In Education(PGCE).
I then went on to work for LLysfasi College, writing, teaching, co-ordinating assessing and verifying courses for Beauty & Holistic subjects awarded by VTCT, IIHHT & ICHT for 10 years, leaving to have twins!!
On deciding to start this business I wanted to ensure that our courses left students feeling knowledgable with what they had learnt and feel able to treat clients with confidence, I also wanted to try and be flexible for people with children and other commitments, as I had small children mysef and found it difficult to attend most courses. Keeping numbers small to ensure quality training and opportunity for students to participate fully and feel comfortable to ask questions was also of importance to me in creating a relaxing welcoming environment for people to learn .
The majority of our students are either people looking to start a career after having children, or wanting a complete change of career, we like to offer support and ideas to help our students to achieve their dreams, big and small, we then like to keep in touch for support and growth.
