F.A.Q's

I have noticed that the size of your classes, are small. What happens if I am the only one that has booked?

Your course will still go ahead, we specialise in small classes and one-to-one tuition, which we feel is very important when offering short courses.

Why do colleges offer the same courses but over a longer time period?

We provide short, intensive quality training courses. We work with very small numbers in each training group (maximum 4 or 8 students) to provide a student focused learning environment.

Colleges usually have larger classes of 25-35 students, meaning tutors have to move around the class checking their techniques; which takes a lot of time. On our courses you will learn and easily absorb the same techniques but in a smaller class, allowing tutors to observe you closely at all times, ensuring you do not pick up any bad habits from the start.

Also we provide the theory information as a booklet for you to study and keep whereas in a college the theory is spread out over so many weeks. Many colleges also add lots of case studies onto their courses which are not a legal requirement.

Prices - Why do prices vary so much for training courses?

Our prices are based on the number of days it takes to cover the subject, other training providers charge more for advanced courses, we like to ensure they are affordable for everyone, the more quality trained therapists the better. We are also accredited by one large body The Guild some providers prefer to have more than one accreditation body which adds to costs.

Can I offer these treatments to the general public and charge for them?

Yes once you have completed all of the requirements of the course you can.

You will be given a £10 discount voucher if you want to take out your insurance with The Guild.

Are the course tutors/lecturers fully qualified?

Yes

Anyone who teaches for us will hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education teaching qualification and will be experts in their fields, they all have professional qualifications in all the subject areas that they teach with years of experience so you know you will receive the best training available.

Do I need to bring a model with me?

No all models are provided by us, our students have always said they enjoyed working on real clients, rather than just on each other, as they get more practical training time.

Are your courses accredited?

Yes all of our courses are accredited with The Guild of Beauty & Guild of Holistic Therapists, The Guild is the UKs biggest professional beauty trade body and has over 5,000 members who are all fully qualified beauty and holistic therapists. All Members of the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists work to a strict code of ethics.

Can I get a job in a salon with your certificates?

Yes. Many salons and spas send their staff to us for our intensive courses for their training.

Am I too old to re-train?

Never, in fact the majority of our students are people who have successful but demanding jobs and want to do something they enjoy for themselves or find themselves at a crossroads, when children have started school, or moved out.

We welcome anyone from the age of 16.
